About the Creator
I'm Iolande Argent — writer, publisher, actor, and lifelong learner who has worn more hats than most people have in a lifetime.
I'm a former treasury agent, tax specialist, and notary. I've held virtual summits, appeared on local television, been interviewed about the unexplained, and stood on stages from high school productions to college performances. I'm a military brat who grew up moving between Air Force bases — which means I learned early how to adapt, observe, and find community wherever I landed.
I created A Black Woman's Guide to... because I kept finding myself in rooms where nobody had written the manual for women like me. So I wrote it myself.
With 230+ published books under my belt and multiple businesses in operation, I know what it looks like to build something real from scratch — and I know how lonely and overwhelming that journey can be without the right guidance.
This series is my way of passing the torch. Everything I've learned the hard way, so you don't have to.
Welcome to your guide.
